Ta-da!

StoryBots picked up its first-ever Emmy this weekend at the 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, winning in the category of Outstanding Interactive Media – Enhancement to a Daytime Program or Series.

The win reflects StoryBots’ heritage as a deeply engaging interactive experience for children, recognizing our educational apps for iPad, iPhone and Apple TV, as well as the new StoryBots Classroom platform for teachers.

Netflix’s Ask the StoryBots received five additional nominations, including for Outstanding Preschool Children’s Animated Program. A full list of winners is available here.

Team StoryBots thanks the Daytime Emmys and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for this incredible honor and congratulates all our fellow winners and nominees!

Kids Take Over StoryBots HQ – Again!

We recently hosted another installment of StoryBots’ Kid Day at our office, inviting a rambunctious group of 3-7 year-olds and their parents for a day of play with the StoryBots! The kids got to test out pre-release versions of our newest apps, getting a sneak peek into what’s coming soon. We’re thrilled to say we heard rave reviews — the kids loved it all and shared plenty of smart feedback.

IMG_9489There was also a great round of storytelling with our ever-popular Starring You Books. Each kid became a star, with their name and face featured as the main character of adventures ranging from deep-sea diving to making gigantic pizzas and having epic snowball fights. The kids especially loved when our artists would point out which parts of the books they illustrated!

IMG_9451The day was capped off with a pizza-fueled screening of brand new videos from our Learning Videos series. As usual, our team came away with loads of inspiration for what to build next.
