Do you remember your first pet? Was it a hamster? A dog? A cat? What about a Grockle? Did you learn responsibility and that taking care of a pet can be hard work? In our newest book, “Pet Grockle,” your child learns that sometimes pets are hard to train, especially Grockles.
A child meets a cute, friendly Grockle on the playground and decides to take it home and adopt it as a pet. But Grockles turn out to have some very bad habits, including gobbling up all the sugar, making a waterfall in the kitchen sink, splashing in the toilet bowl, and splattering paint all over the house! At last, a visit from the Grockle Whisperer teaches the child that a little loving discipline can turn a badly behaved Grockle into a gentle, good-natured friend.
